Day 1 - Vancouver

Welcome to Vancouver. Your journey into wonder begins with an overnight stay at the exclusive Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Your luxury hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of downtown Vancouver, with culture, restaurants and world-class shopping right at your doorstep, plus you can take advantage of the added bonus of the Scenic office downstairs, with our staff ready to welcome and assist with anything you may require. Get to know your fellow explorers and your Scenic Tour Director over a sumptuous welcome dinner, and toast to the exhilarating adventure awaiting you. Please book your flight to arrive prior to 5pm.

Day 2 - Vancouver > VIA Rail

Discover Vancouver’s hidden treasures on a sightseeing tour. This evening, board VIA Rail’s ‘The Canadian’ and step into your Sleeper Plus Class cabin, reminiscent of train travel of yesteryear.

Day 3 - VIA Rail > Jasper

Marvel at Mount Robson, towering high above the other Canadian Rocky Mountains. Your bedroom will be transformed by day into a private sitting room so you can have private viewing of the scenery passing by, or you can opt to visit the Skyline car with panoramic dome windows to admire the breathtaking scenery on every side. Tonight, enjoy a stay at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, your lakeside retreat.

Day 4 - Icefields Parkway > Banff

Stretch your legs and invigorate your senses with a guided walk into Maligne Canyon. Then, drive along one of the most famous roads in the world, the Icefields Parkway, before taking the ‘Ice Explorer’ onto Athabasca Glacier. Later, small town charm nestled in stunning mountain scenery greets you in Banff. Luxuriate with a two night Special Stay at the Fairmont Banff Springs, where you can gaze on the valley or the mountains from the comfort of your lodgings, and relish the unique blend of opulence and isolation. Day 5 - Banff


Take a helicopter flight over the Three Sisters Peaks, a Bow River float trip, rejuvenate in relaxing mineral pools or play nine holes of golf. Nature lovers may be enticed to take a guided nature walk or head into the mountains by wagon for a cowboy cookout lunch.


Tonight be treated to an exclusive ‘Rocky Mountain Round Up’ of superb food, entertainment and hospitality. Don your Stetson hat and cowboy boots, kick up your heels and make the most of a rollicking evening.

Day 6 - Banff > Lake Louise

Brave Sulphur Mountain on the impressive Banff Gondola and be rewarded with magnificent views. Later, reach the spectacular natural wonder of Lake Louise and the opulent Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, where your Special Stay for the next two nights is in a stunning lakeview room.


Meet a wearer of the famous red serge, a Canadian Mountie. Be thrilled by entertaining stories of the trade, and be sure to take a memorable photo for your album.

Day 7 - Lake Louise > Sun Peaks

Day 8 - Sun Peaks > Whistler

Day 10 - Vancouver > Alaskan Cruise

Start your luxurious seven night Alaskan voyage on board Princess Cruises Ruby Princess. Look out for orcas, humpback whales or bald eagles from your verandah stateroom, and savour included drinks with dinner each evening as you reflect on the day’s adventures. A Cruise Director will escort your sailing should you need anything, but you won’t.

Day 11 - Scenic Cruising

Alaska’s charming state capital is the epitome of the rugged last frontier, only accessible by air or sea, so you can explore knowing you’ll never get lost.

Day 13 - Skagway

Historic shop facades, wooden boardwalks and echoes of the gold rush welcome you to Skagway, the gateway of the Klondike. Discover the remnants of its gold rush roots when prospectors came in droves to try their luck during the Klondike gold rush. For those who struck it lucky, the saloons of Skagway proved a popular way to ‘invest’ their fortunes back into the town.

Day 14 - Glacier Bay

A steaming cup of soup or even hot chocolate will keep you warm as you are mesmerised by the dramatic ice walls of Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. Glacier Bay has more actively calving glaciers than anywhere in the world. Hold your breath as a monumental chunk of ice splits off a glacier and thunders into the sea, and capture the impact shooting water hundreds of feet in the air. Then, wait for it to happen all over again. A National Park Service Ranger will interpret the natural wonders and wildlife you may see.

Day 15 - Ketchikan

Alaska’s remote first city and last port of call is treasury of Native American culture, and is home to the largest collection of Native totem poles in the world. Ketchikan is also known as the ‘salmon capital of the world’, so be sure to sample some fresh local fare while you’re in town.

Day 16 - Victoria

Today you get the chance to fully appreciate the charms of delightful Victoria, capital of British Columbia. Later, celebrate your wonderful Canadian & Alaskan adventure at your farewell reception.

Day 17 - Seattle

Arrive in Seattle for your onward or homeward bound journey. Please book your flight to depart after 2pm. If your flight departs after 7pm, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Seattle before being transferred to the airport. We trust you’ve enjoyed a wonderful journey.
